Section 1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how UberID, LLC ("UberID," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use BeeCard ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please also review our Terms of Service.
Section 2. Definitions
"Service" means the BeeCard web application at beecard.io and any related subdomains.
"Personal Information" means information that identifies or could reasonably identify you, such as your name, email address, or account credentials.
"Content" means business card images, extracted contact data, and any other files or data you upload or submit through the Service.
"Usage Data" means non-identifying technical data collected automatically when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring URLs, and interaction patterns.
"You" means you, the person or entity using the Service.
Section 3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide: When you create an account or use the Service, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and any other information required for account creation. When you upload business cards, we receive the images and any data extracted from them.
Information Collected Automatically: When you visit or use the Service, we automatically collect Usage Data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps. We collect this data through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.
Payment Information: When you purchase credits, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive confirmation of the transaction, including the amount paid and a transaction identifier.
Section 4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including AI-powered business card scanning and contact file generation.
- Process transactions and manage your credit balance.
- Communicate with you about your account, deliver scanned contact files, and send transactional notifications.
- Enforce our Terms of Service, detect fraud, and protect the security of the Service and its users.
- Improve and develop the Service, including training, evaluating, and improving our AI processing systems.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Section 5. AI Processing
BeeCard uses artificial intelligence to extract contact information from business card images you upload. You acknowledge that:
- Your uploaded images and extracted data are processed by AI systems to provide the Service.
- UberID, LLC and its affiliates reserve the right to store and process uploaded images and related data for the purpose of providing, improving, and operating the Service, including the development and improvement of AI systems.
- AI outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all extracted data.
Section 6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Maintain your session and remember your authentication state.
- Remember your preferences.
- Understand how you use the Service and improve it.
You can configure your browser to reject cookies, but doing so may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals at this time.
Section 7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Information.
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We use third-party providers to operate the Service, including for authentication, data storage, payment processing, email delivery, and AI processing. These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by contractual obligations to protect it.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information in response to a valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with applicable law.
Business Transfers: If UberID, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
We do not share your information with advertisers or for third-party marketing purposes.
Section 8. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Section 9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to our legal obligations and legitimate business needs (such as fraud prevention and record-keeping).
Residual copies of your information may persist in backup systems for a limited period after deletion. We are not responsible for information cached by your browser or stored on your devices.
Section 10. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Correction: You may review and update your account information at any time through the Service.
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at legal@uberid.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
Communications: You may opt out of promotional emails at any time. Transactional emails related to your account and use of the Service are not subject to opt-out.
Section 11. Your State Privacy Rights
California Residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Other U.S. States: Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others as enacted) may have similar rights. Contact us at legal@uberid.com to exercise any applicable rights.
Section 12. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We process data in accordance with applicable U.S. law.
Section 13.Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with Personal Information, contact us at legal@uberid.com.
Section 14. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you visit.
Section 15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Modified" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
